February 15-19

This week we learned word family et, blend bl, and the sight words and, what, be.

This week in math we continued to practice adding and subtracting.  We are working on knowing which operation to choose when we read a story problem.

In science we experimented with what would happen to conversation heart if they were put in water, vinegar, or soda.  Ask your child about the reactions that occurred. We also learned about magnets and how they stick only to metal.

We had fun painting and writing this week.  We get to decorate the school writing board this week and be on the school wide announcements!  Don't forget to be early on your child's important day at school.
