This week we learned the en word family. We learned that the blend st can be at the beginning of the word, or at the end of the word. We reviewed all of our sight words.
Our writing was displayed in the hallway this week! The kids should be able to write three sentences by now independently. They can still make spelling errors, or course! We are only looking for them to write three complete thoughts with correct spacing, capitalization, and punctuation.
In math we continued to practice addition and subtraction. These kids won the race to list two related facts on their boards.
We had so much fun being on the Back Announcements this week! The kids did a great job!
We had fun at the 4th 6 weeks award assembly. Proud of these guys! One of our friends had her name drawn to have a free pizza lunch with the principals next Tuesday!
We had a very special Black History Month program on Friday complete with a fashion show and a speech from Linda Griffin, a member of the Garland ISD School Board.
Having a root beer float for our Effort Extravaganza party!

Thank you to these awesome families who continue to support our learning! I couldn't do it without you!
This hard little worker is my Bulldog of the Week!
