To be honest with you...I did not take my normal pictures this week. :( I did get this shot of the word family ed. We also learned blend cl and the sight words do and this.
This is a fun game we played to learn about compound words. The teams had to put three cards together to show how two small words make a bigger new word...like lighthouse.
*In math we learned how to listen to a math story problem and decide if we should add or subtract.
*In science we talked about magnets and how they only stick to metal.
Thank you to our room mom for making our Valentine Party so great!
*Since I missed out on party pictures, I decided to say what I love about each student for Valentine's...just for fun! :)
This kid LOVES to learn and to read. In fact he has even told me, "Thank you for that game, I enjoyed learning that!"
This kid is a leader. I love to watch her decide what everyone will play at recess while the other kids wait in anticipation. She is our social director.
This kid has the mind of an adult. She can multitask and run complicated errands for me better than most grown men! She takes care of her friends like she is years older.
This kid has a sense of humor. I once told the class I was watching them and made that finger symbol...you know how you use your two fingers to point to your eyes and then the kids? Now it is our inside joke...almost daily he smiles at me and makes the symbol and says "I'm watching you Mrs. DeFeo!"
I love this guy's attitude. He is excited about everything...about life in general. No matter what I say we are going to do...this guy pumps his arm in the air and yells, "Yes!"
This kid is an encourager. Every time one of her classmates wins a game or answers a question correctly, you will hear this sweetie say "Good job!"
This kid is a gentle giant. He is the tallest and strongest one in class, but he is such a gentlemen. He always makes sure to help his friends and never hurt anyone. It is cute...when the kids need chairs moved, or something off a tall shelf, they call for this guy!
This guy is the life of the party. He is always joyful. He loves to dance and sing to music and has lots of friends.
This girl loves fashion and design. She has a very creative mind and likes to make things beautiful with colors and stickers. She always notices when people have new jewelry and clothes and complements them so nicely.
Just look at that smile! This girl is happy 24/7. She knows how to light up a room. Even the cafeteria ladies notice how happy this girl is each day!
This guy is very smart! He has great answers to higher level questions. I love how he tries to solve every problem and never gives up!
This girl knows what she wants. She is small but mighty! I love how she will always tell you exactly what she is thinking. She has kept me entertained many times with her cute sayings.
This girl is a sweetheart. She would do anything for anyone. She is always looking for ways that she can help me and her classmates.
This girl is usually very reserved....but every once in a while she will break out into this huge smile with an adorable and contagious laugh. I love it when that happens!!
This guy is so much fun. He puts his best effort into everything he does. His incredible work ethic is beyond his years.
This girl is a great big sister! She loves to brag about her new baby brother. She thinks about him all the time.
What a sweet boy...this guy will melt your heart! He is always motivated to work hard at school and never complains.
This guy is motivated! He loves to sing and his excitement for school overflows. He is always listening to me and ready to learn.
This girl is very sweet and quiet. She watches all of our crazy shenanigans with a sweet little smile.
This guy loves to be at school. He loves to run to the swings at recess and play with his friends. He likes to remind me to make sure we don't forget lunchtime!
This guy hugs me multiple times a day and says "I love you!" Who wouldn't love that?
I saved this girl for last because she was my Bulldog of the Week again! She is always paying attention and so quiet. She makes teaching so easy!
