December 5-9

This week we learned the consonants Jj and Qq.  We learned that q always has a u beside it in every word.  Our sight word was the number four.  We continued to learn about subtraction in math.  We learned about the properties of objects in science and holiday traditions in social studies.  I focused a lot this week on report card skill testing with each child.  I didn't get to take as many pictures as I normally  do.
We had a little trouble with the heater on Friday at school...so we worked all huddled together in our coats.  The kids thought this was much more fun than working at our desks.  Here we are searching through Target toy catalogs to have ideas for our letters to Santa.
In the computer lab we had some Christmas fun!
One of our classmates got to have a special ride down the hall on Ms. Brown's scooter!
We have a new student this week!  Welcome to our class!
The Rowlett RSVP choir came to sing some holiday songs for us.  This soloist chose two kids out of our class to come up and dance with her on stage!
This was our student of the week!
