November 7-11

This week we learned the consonant Kk and Ww. We know now that the letter k will only stand in front of e, i, and y. Letter c will say the /k/ sound in front of any other letter.  We began to learn our number words starting with number one.

This was a fun sight word game that Miss Brenda made for us. We had to figure out what sight word we were wearing with yes or no questions.

We had so much fun making this video.  We filmed it in slow mo because we were trying to understand how to sound out a word in "slow mo".  If you say a word really slowly you can hear all of the sounds and you are able to spell the word.

This week in math we finished our chapter on the numbers 1-30.  These four kids made a 100 on their math tests!
In social studies we learned about patriotic holidays.  We are learning a lot about the pilgrims for Thanksgiving. Ask your child if they can tell you what life is about on the Mayflower.
In science we learned about wood that comes from trees.

House party fun!  Green team won again!
Awards assemblies!  Congratulations award winners for the second 6 weeks!

We had fun honoring our veterans on Friday.
I forgot to take a picture of this sweetie with her poster, but she was our student of the week!
