October 13-16

This week we learned consonants Dd and Ff.  We learned the sight words a and as. We learned the color word purple and the shape of a diamond.
Your child should understand the difference between vowels and consonants, between capitals and lower case letters, and between letters and words.
This is a picture of us learning to blend sounds together to make words.

In math we had fun putting the numbers 0-10 in order. Your child should know these numbers very well now.
This is a super fun book that a dad read to us this week during our Mystery Reader time.  It is great for learning numbers! Check it out at the public library sometime.
In science we learned about what plants need. We learned the difference between living things and non-living things.  We went on a seed walk and planted our seeds!
This is a picture of us enjoying a story in library.
Thank you to this family for sending in box tops!

Thank you to this family for sending a Mystery Reader this week and sending a volunteer for the day to help us practice sight words and counting.
Our awards assembly was awesome!  Proud of all my kids!
Mrs. McCutcheon and Mr. Marshall celebrating two students who were chosen to have pizza with the principal on Monday! Each 6 weeks, if your child receives the Good Citizen award they will entered into a drawing to be chosen for this fun prize.

Our Effort Extravaganza party on Friday for our Good Citizens! We had extra recess and snow cones!  Remember, children receive these awards when they do not change their pin over 6 times in a 6 week period.
This guy got the Bulldog of the Week for the whole school from Coach Baier in PE!  Way to go!
This sweet girl was my Bulldog of the Week.  She works very hard!
