March 30-April 2

This week we learned the word family ock.  We learned the blend nt and the sight words he, she and get.
Just look at the long words we can spell now!

Ask your child to tell you how the Silly Sentence game works.  Your child should be able to tell you the definition of a noun, a verb, and an adjective.  (noun=person, place, thing, or animal; verb=something you can do; adjective=a word that describes a noun)
We finished up our unit on solid 3 dimensional shapes this week.  This was a game where the kids had to guess the shape just by feeling it in the bag.
First place winners this week in the race to 100 game!
In science we learned all about insects.  Your child should know that an insect has six legs and three body parts, the head, thorax, and the abdomen.

Thank you for the awesome donations from these kids and their families this week!  Your donations make our class much more fun!
I wanted to share with the parents about our amazing cafeteria ladies!  They are so sweet to our kids.  This week for April Fools Day, they served breakfast food for lunch and wore their PJ's.  So fun!

Painting Easter Eggs!

For our fun spring activity, we hunted for eggs...I tried to get a good picture of that...but those kids are super quick and it was so hard to catch them!  After the kids found their eggs, they opened them to find addition and subtraction facts.  They had to complete their facts in sidewalk chalk to receive their candy prize!
This cutie pie is my Bulldog of the Week!  She has improved so much this year.  I am proud of her!
