November 9-13

This week we learned the consonants Kk and Ww. We reviewed our sight words and our color words.

Because k and c make the same sound, we learned this week how to pick which letter to use in words.  The kids know that K has the "buddies" e, i, and y.  He will only stand in front of one of those letters usually. If the c sound comes before any letter besides e, i, or y....you should choose the letter c.
We practiced sorting nouns and verbs this week.
This team won our Rhyming Race!
In math this week, we continued to count and compare numbers 0-30.
In science this week we talked about the properties of objects.  We learned about the materials that things are made from.  We specifically focused on wood and the fact that it comes from trees.  These kids are showing things we found in our classroom that were made from wood.

We had a special ceremony this week to celebrate our Veterans for Veteran's Day.  We sent letters to Veterans serving overseas!
I was super proud of all of my award winners this 2nd 6 weeks!  We had a fun Effort Extravaganza party drinking juice boxes, eating chips, and watching a movie!
Thank you to this family for their Skittles donation!

Thank you to these families who joined us for our Thanksgiving lunch on Friday!
This cutie was chosen as the Bulldog of the Week from the whole school in art class by Mrs. Pollay!
This was my Bulldog of the Week this week!  He loves to learn!
